Great care must be taken to ‘secure’ external access to the MSBG. Default user names and

passwords are an open invitation to service theft and toll fraud. It is highly recommended that

one of the first steps in the provisioning of the MSBG is to change these default values.

In addition, the customer must decide what type, if any, web-based access will be permitted to

the MSBG. Note that the majority of the configuration steps are completed using the graphical

user interface and an Internet browser.
